About Chaffee County Emergency Medical Services (CCEMS)

Chaffee County EMS provides emergency medical services to the upper Arkansas valley 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A dedicated staff of Paramedics and EMT’s ensures that advanced life support and transport is available, from the banks of the Arkansas River to the summit of 14,000 foot peaks.

Chaffee EMS participates in advanced training and EMS competitions.

Each ambulance is a mobile emergency room equipped with an array of life saving medications, equipment and more importantly, caring professionals trained in advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, pre-hospital trauma life support and advanced medical life support.

In addition to providing life saving emergency medical care, CCEMS is deeply involved in the community, whether it be doing a medical standby for a Friday night high school football games, teaching Boy Scouts CPR, speaking at local schools or transporting patients to medical services and procedures that are currently unavailable in our locale, CCEMS is committed to servicing the citizens and visitors of Chaffee county.

Drawing on a wide range of experiences and personalities, from white water raft guides and ski patrollers to organic farmers and Navy SEAL’s, CCEMS is committed to providing top notch, progressive, evidence based health care to the community that it serves. Many of our members volunteer their time with local agencies such as fire departments and search and rescue, as well as professionally teaching emergency and wilderness medicine.
